fourth of july events Salisbury

Independence Day, also called the Fourth of July, a day we all look forward to for many reasons. We celebrate gaining our independence as a country. As President John Adams said, “It will be celebrated with pomp and parade, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other”. To commemorate our independence, we celebrate with parades, fireworks, barbeques, concerts, and spending the day outdoors. Salisbury is such a great local community and there is an abundance of Fourth of July events going on for everyone. Here are just a few places to celebrate the Fourth of July and watch amazing fireworks.

Red White and BOOM
Red White and BOOM is hosting firework festivities on July 4th. This is a FREE event for everyone. Gates will open at James M. Bennett High School off of College Ave and everyone is welcome to join the party on the football field. There will be a huge variety of food vendors to choose from along with a couple of dessert stations, the best part. The National Anthem will be sung by Dawn Williams at 9 PM and fireworks will begin shortly after. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the field, just not on the track, please. Come out and enjoy spending time with your family and the wonderful community of Salisbury at Red White and BOOM.

Ocean City
There’s always something special about watching fireworks under the stars with your toes in the sand reminiscing on the great country we get to call home. Ocean City will be having fireworks downtown on the beach at North Division Street and at Northside Park. All of the excitement will begin at 9:30 PM.

Veterans Memorial Park in Ocean Pines
The Veterans Memorial Park will be having a whole day of activities for the fourth of July. Starting off with their annual Freedom 5k at 8 AM. They encourage you to show off your patriotism by decking yourself out in USA-themes outfits. The most patriotically dressed runner will receive an award. Registration is $25 if you register prior to July 2, 2021. There will be a Fourth of July Celebration from 5 PM-9:45 PM. There will be rides for the kids, games, music, and food. Wristbands cost $7. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities with the family.
